Flatline is an extended version of the short film HEART STOP BEATING (Sundance 2012). The film tells the story of two visionary doctors from the Texas Heart Institute who successfully replaced a dying man's heart with a rotor-driven device of their own design—proving that life is possible without a pulse or a heartbeat.
