Brian's post earlier reminds me of an misunderstanding/argument I had with a girlfriend years ago. When she was no longer mad at me, she gave me a great cheat code to life. She said, "When I'm like that, don't try to talk to me or persuade me or anything like that, just give me a hug. 90% of the time that will fix everything." I'm still grateful to her for that one, some of the simplest and best advice I've ever received. -Dan O'
