Affirmations, getting started on improving your confidence and self image

Affirmations are the most effective way I know to increase your confidence and self image / esteem.  You repeat them daily, in really just a minute or two or three.  It's an easy thing to add to your daily routine.  I personally tend to do them while driving to/from home.

You can use them to increase your confidence in specific areas, such as dealing with customers, treating your family with love and respect, eating a healthy diet etc.

My goal here is not to write a book about it, plenty of others have done that.  I simply want to direct you to a couple resources for getting started with using affirmations in an effective way.  The first resource is..

1. Jack Canfield article on how to create effective affirmations.

2. Sample YouTube video to give you ideas of different sorts of affirmations you may want to use.

3.  My hot tip I'd like to add is this.  Try doing affirmations to music that makes you feel energized.  This helps me build energy and emotion which makes the affirmations more powerful.

There are tons more resources out there on the web, so feel free to keep digging and let me know what you come up with!  I Hope this helps you get started, and I hope you see lots of benefit from your new habit :)

Dan- I should've mentioned that even though I don't need them as much, I still love and use them here and there. It is always fun to change and create a new pattern in your mind. And knowing that they work.. makes it a lot of fun :)

agree Elsa, once they're ingrained I use them less too, but now and then i'll focus on one or two.  glad they've worked for you too :)

Dan-

This is wonderful, it was some yearsss ago that I started my journey with affirmations. Now, I don't need them because I "know" this about me as I have become my affirmations. I strongly agree that what you say and think you truly become and feel. However, it doesn’t happen overnight.  Just like exercising or creating a habit.. it takes dedication and time to train your mind into your new beliefs. Commitment and a love for yourself will always take you far.. Never give up!

Thanks for taking the time to express and encourage others to know anything is possible…
