Hi!  I'm new, but I wanted to share a resource about bullying that is really brilliant.  This is an article by Izzy Kalman.  http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/psychological-solution-bullying...

I found Izzy and his website www.bullies2buddies.com when my second grader was getting picked on by classmates.  

Another great resource for very forward thinking ideas about kids and education, is the blog www.eduspire.wordpress.com.

I have 3 kids, 15, 14, and 11, and they are strong, amazing people who have pushed me to look very deeply into who kids are and how we treat them.  A lot of out-of-the-box stuff, but I believe strongly that we need to be out of the box to really change the world!  

When things aren't working, we can't just try to use the same methods with more force — we need to change our methods!

i would love to help . the first thing i thing i think needs worked on is bulling in schools . i found a bunch of stuff on bullying maybe we can work together to put somthing together .

Love the support everyone!  I am slowly working my way into being full time with PS4YA.  I have a business license, a website (www.ps4ya.org) and am currently working on getting my 501(c)(3) tax exempt status from the state of Washington and the IRS.  We have our first organizational meeting on March 4th to determine board of directors, organizational bylaws, roles and responsibilities, as well as next steps.  We are also working on our 1st couple of fundraising events for the summer.  I would love to hear ideas from anyone who wants to share.  There is a link on my website to my forum page.  I will start a couple of discussions there and we can go from there.  If anyone wants to contact me directly, my email is michael@ps4ya.org.  Thank you!
