I had a similar experience in November on my trip to Miami.  I used the credit card with my professional name without thinking that it would be the name on my boarding pass.  TSA refused me boarding even though I showed them all the proper ID.  I had to re-book to the tune of $150.  When I returned home, I wrote to the CEO of American Airlines saying that I always try to be part of the solution and not part of the problem.

American Airlines refunded the entire sum!  This proves my point.  when we strive to be part of the solution - and not part of the problem, people respond in a positive way.

LOVE THIS SITE AND GROUPS.  I LIVE DAY BY DAY ENJOYING ALL THERE IS TO.  I JUST ARRIVED FROM A TRIP FROM BAHAMAS AND GUESS WHAT?   ALL THAT CAN GO WRONG WENT WRONG CAUSE AIRLINE LOST MY BAG ETC... CHARGES PENALTY FEES AND ALL BUT I ENDED UP LAUGHING IN THE END OF THE DAY CAUSE THESE ARE PART OF LIFE SO JUST MOVE ON AND ENJOY LIFE.
