Inspiring and Empowering Positive People
Open mic's are fun, the Three Trees Coffee house has one on Tuesday nights, starting around 7 I believe. It's free, with lots of local musicians, some quite talented. The Underground Coffee House at WWU has one too, also Tuesday evening. And the Honey Moon on State St. has one Wednesday around 8 or 8.30 I think.
What fun and positive things in our area do you recommend?

Permalink Reply by Keegan McCoy on July 26, 2011 at 9:11am Two things I'm almost always at are the peace vigil every Friday at 4:00. They meet on the corner of Magnolia and Cornwall, and Food Not Bombs comes out and provides a free meal for everyone. It's fun and it's also the longest-running peace vigil in the country (48 years!).
But you're even more likely to see me at the Socialist Alternative meetings every Thursday a 7pm up on campus. We're an activist organization, committed to fighting for the working class everywhere, and for ridding the world of the destructive force of capitalism. We meet in Academic Instructional Center West in room 408. There's free parking in the nearby 'C' lots on the south end of campus.
