Open mic's are fun, the Three Trees Coffee house has one on Tuesday nights, starting around 7 I believe.  It's free, with lots of local musicians, some quite talented.  The Underground Coffee House at WWU has one too, also Tuesday evening.  And the Honey Moon on State St. has one Wednesday around 8 or 8.30 I think.

What fun and positive things in our area do you recommend?

Do you ever go bowling?

I've been know to bowl once in a while.  That could be a fun group get together...

Two things I'm almost always at are the peace vigil every Friday at 4:00. They meet on the corner of Magnolia and Cornwall, and Food Not Bombs comes out and provides a free meal for everyone. It's fun and it's also the longest-running peace vigil in the country (48 years!).

But you're even more likely to see me at the Socialist Alternative meetings every Thursday a 7pm up on campus. We're an activist organization, committed to fighting for the working class everywhere, and for ridding the world of the destructive force of capitalism. We meet in Academic Instructional Center West in room 408. There's free parking in the nearby 'C' lots on the south end of campus.

Come to the FREEDOM premiere at the Pickford Theater and meet the filmmakers!

Local leaders and organizations are coming together for this one time event to unite the community around their efforts to practice sustainable living.

They will be filming webisodes of The FREEDOM Drive! Come participate, debate and be inspired...

If you're attending, spread the word to the community, you won't want to miss this event! The FREEDOM bus is equipped with a high tech recycled interior, 16 solar panels, an E85 powered engine and interactive education stations.

$10 donation at the door which goes to the 'I'll Be The One' Organization!
