Inspiring and Empowering Positive People
I got a juicer a few months ago and am really trying to improve my eating habits and learn more about nutrition. I think it's really important to spread the word and discuss and learn about this. These two documentaries were fabulous, they're both on Netflix too.
Right now I'm drinking a juice I just made with a bunch of Kale (tons of vitamin A and C), 6 carrots, and 2 apples :)
My juicer cost me about 30 bucks, and I think it's the best investment I've ever made.
What have you learned about nutrition?

I have a friend who has been juicing for 20 plus years. He also practices yoga daily.
After watching a recent program by Dr. Gupta (sp?) on The Last Heart Attack, & those including President Clinton adhering to vegan diets, I'm seriously returning to juicing & adopting a vegan diet. Evidence showed that those with heart disease in the family, those with active heart disease can reverse plaque buildup by eating strictly vegetables. Juicing is a good way to incorporate vegetables into your diet. We live on a small farm & grow our own vegetables. We grow heirloom varieties & I have been freezing & canning them for winter consumption.
Many people throw out the pulp, I consume the pulp that our juicer separates, in sauces, veggie spreads etc.
You don't have to have a juicer, you can use a blender to begin with till you can find one reasonably priced at a tag sale, etc.
Maybe if you don't mind, others could share experiences about changing their diet to a vegan diet as well as juicing.
I have somewhere a 30 day blog on juicing that was informative & I will post it as soon as I retrieve it.
Thanks for the topic.
